1. Spend money that we don’t have on things that we don’t need, to impress people we don’t even know.
2. Not knowing where our money goes and hoping to save some at the end of the month.
3. Not having a clear budget or goals.
4. Not taking responsibility for our situation and blaming external factors (our boss, the Government, the economy etc.)
5. Hoping to win the lottery and never invest a penny in our financial education.
6. Never start something (…and never finish what we’ve started).
7. Believing we know it all and never question anything out of the box.
8. Never take advices from people that are wealthy and keep taking advices from people that are not even close to where you want to be.
9. Confusing liabilities and assets (i.e. : buying a house and living inside is a liability, buying a flat and putting someone to pay you rent is an asset).
10. Never doing more than what we’re expected to do and being complacent with the average.
P.S : Money can bring us freedom of choices and that’s the real flex we should all seek. Things like status, a Porsche, or a Rolex are way overrated. Focus on improvements, on fulfillment, and on what you love and you will see that money will follow.
Reminder : Every penny in our pocket is a fighter for our freedom. Don’t let someone else take control and murder it in their battlefield and then wonder why you never won any wars. Be courageous and lead your soldiers!
Aim higher, keep improving and don’t give up on your dreams. 10 years from now you can reach any destination, the only question is where?
Bisous,
Sarah Joy
